February 10, 2012, Josephine Wong, Canada We, as a society and especially the media, have to stop calling this type of violence against women and murder as "honour killing' because there is nothing honourable in harming and killing another person. By calling it 'honour killing', we are perpetuating stereotypes and making excuses for violence against women. There is no culture and no religion in this world that promote violence and murders. We need to name what happened to Jassi and so many other women in Canada and around the world what it is - misogyny, patriarchal violence and injustice against women. I cannot believe how our Canadian political leaders can go on camera all the time and condemn "other" countries for violating human rights, when our own government has 'refused' to act in Canada to ensure that there is justice for all, and to make sure that all women are safe in Canada and elsewhere.
February 09, 2012, hardeep atwal, Canada very sad story
February 09, 2012, Margie H, Canada Sad, Sad, Sad....
They need to be punished here in Canada.
If our government cannot serve justice......Canadians will lose faith in our Country!
February 09, 2012, Jenny Bains, Canada R.I.P Jassi, its all in god hands.
February 07, 2012, Rajvinder Gill, Canada VERY SAD...They should pay for what they have done. They should be jailed for rest of their life.

February 05, 2012, Jesse S, Canada I have also been following this horrible crime from the beginning and it still does sicken me. I am pleased to know that these monsters not humans have been charged, but what sadens me the most how long it took for them to finally get arrested. The government these so called people who represent our country, one that truly believes in a free peace loving constitutional land obviously have not done there job and is a pity, a real pity. It's a BIG joke that we should trust these individuals to do the right thing. As far as the mother and uncle being extrediated , I wish they could be sentenced here , however it could work either way as any government is corrupt they may not get the full consequences or perhaps they be waiting for there attackers. Just one word for them watch your backs eyes are on u and always have been.
February 05, 2012, Preaseslerm Preaseslerm, Canada Hi, This just came across my desk and I had to pass it on to you ASAP…
Internet multi-millionaire Mack Michaels has a few new positions available right now…
If accepted you can easily rake in $11, 917 per month starting from scratch.
==> http://www.maverickmoneymaking.info/maverick.html
Once you’re accepted just follow the training Mack gives you. It’s really quite simple…
Learn how Mack went from not being able to afford Christmas gifts to a millionaire lifestyle and how you can too!
BUT…
Due to the extremely high level of Hands-On time Mack spends with every new member he has to limit the number of positions that are open.
Right now there are only 2 available in your area. If you’re interested you should move quickly.

February 04, 2012, Tracy N=Marques, Canada I have followed this tragic story for 11 years. Jassi was a Canadian and she should be receving protection, even in death, as a Canadian. Since her family felt that they could receive justice for her "betrayal" to them in India, let them face justice in India as well. Extradite them!
February 02, 2012, Ranjit Singh, United States These despicable criminals should be punished. How long this hypocratic honor shall be tolrated?

January 26, 2012, KARMJEET DHILLON, Canada Lack of education and obsession with religion makes one ruthless and cruel as is the case with Mr. Badesha. it is clear that having a flowing beard does not make a true sikh ,simply because it is natural mean to guise someones true image. The showing of Mr. Badesha in front of his Gurudwara is true example how a dispicable creature can take shield of religion and hide his true entity of murderer. Sikh and Gurudwara only means peace and love. History tells that even Mugals who played with sentiments of sikhism vanished long time back, so Badesha will too pay for murdering and hiding behind the shield of calling himself a Sikh. Justice shall prevail for Jassi and Mithu.
